Q&A with Odi Bakchis, Formula DRIFT Pro Driver

The 2022 Formula DRIFT season is in full swing! We were able to have a quick interview with our friend and FD Pro Driver, Aurimas Bakchis. Better known as “Odi,” he has finished in the Top 5 overall at Formula DRIFT over the last 4 years. This season, he’s currency ranked 8th place with his signature Nissan #723 (but there’s still plenty of races ahead!) 

In addition to being a professional drifter, he’s also the CEO of Feal Suspension. In the world of Road, Drift & Racing Coilovers, Feal Suspension is a big name. They produce and sell high performance automotive suspension components across the globe.

Needless to say, Odi knows a thing or two about drifting and coilovers. Here’s an inside look at our interview with Odi Bakchis.

What’s your daily driver?

“My favorite car to drive would have to be a Jeep Wrangler Unlimited with oversized falken Tires, or a 1973 Chevy Pickup on Airbags”

What’s your favorite part about this car? 

“By far the best part of this car is the Texas speed engine - sooo much power!”

Who are your drift idols? 

“I’d have to say, Fredric Aasbo, James Deane, and Chris Forsberg are some of my favorite drivers to watch.”

What’s your typical day look like?

“A typical day for me starts at the Feal Suspension shop. I take my business very seriously and make a point to be on the ground floor so I can know each and every employee, talk shop, and make sure we’re only selling products of the highest quality. After that, I head out to my garage and work on my demo car or maybe a spare chassis for a few hours. On some occasions, I’ll meet up with some sponsors or clients. But usually at the end of the day, I just enjoy putting my feet up and spending time with the family.”
